On The Apostolate
Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again. He, however, who drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him shall become in him a fountain of water, springing up unto life everlasting.
(Jn. 4:13-14)
The Fullness of Truth is a Catholic apostolate conducted by Timothy O’Keefe. It consists of public speaking, weekly apologetics classes (held in the MA/CT area), a weekly radio program called “The Fullness of Truth,” and this website.
The purpose of this apostolate is to:
- Teach lay people the authentic Catholic faith with clarity and boldness, and in fidelity to the living magisterium of the Church
- Respond to objections and criticisms concerning the teachings of the Church
- Reveal the beauty of Catholicism
- Inform Catholics of relevant news and events
- Draw all people to the Church founded by Jesus Christ
The Fullness of Truth is not afraid of controversial subjects. It was founded on the conviction that the sins and errors of our times demand a response, and that the only adequate response may be found in the teachings of Jesus Christ and His true Church.
This conviction is not only an ideal; it is also a duty provided for by divine grace. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches,
“[Confirmation] gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldly, and never to be ashamed of the Cross” (CCC # 1303).
Every baptized and confirmed Catholic has been commissioned by the Church to participate in her mission of witnessing to Jesus Christ and His Church, in accord with their particular station in life and ability. This is both an honor and a duty that belongs, not only to priests and religious, but to every member of the faithful as well. Jesus said,
“Therefore, everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I in turn will disown him before my Father in heaven” (Mt. 10:32-33).
To participate in this great mission, a good will and a loving heart are certainly required. Yet, these alone are inadequate. One must also possess knowledge. Knowledge of the teachings of Christ and His Church is absolutely essential to participating in this mission. Conversely, then, ignorance is fatal.
The purpose of The Fullness of Truth Apostolate is to assist all who are willing to grow in the knowledge of the Catholic faith, and in the ability to convincingly explain the Church’s teachings to all people of good will.
Timothy O’Keefe was born in 1962 and grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut. After attending Catholic grammar school and high school, he began to question the Catholic faith. During his twenties, he left the Church and explored various Christian and non-Christian beliefs, and attended many denominational services. He became especially enamored with the writings of the New England Transcendentalists Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson. For several years Timothy attended Quaker meetings. At the same time, he studied eastern scriptures, the writings of the Protestant Reformers, and the works of the early Church Fathers. Further study of the Bible led him towards an Evangelical or Fundamentalist Christian faith. Eventually, dissatisfied with the confused musings and the misinterpretations of men, he began to re-examine the claims of Catholicism.
Timothy returned to the Catholic Church in May of 1990, and continued his intensive personal study of the ancient faith. In 2000, he began giving occasional presentations on the faith under the name, “The Fullness of Truth.” On March 1, 2001, he initiated “The Fullness of Truth” radio program, and two years later began teaching a four-year course called “Catholic Apologetics,” using Holy Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. This course is the fruit of his studies, and of his many experiences among non-Catholics, anti-Catholics, and liberal Catholics.
The Fullness of Truth radio program is heard in the western and central Massachusetts and Connecticut area. It is aired on WACE AM 730 on Thursdays at noon and Sundays at 8:30 in the morning. The “Catholic Apologetics” course is taught in the same area.
This apostolate is dependent on the contributions of listeners, readers, and students. If you would like to make a donation, or if you would like to organize a class or presentation in your area, please contact,
